| Duke surgery team brings medical equipment to Uganda In August of 2007, a team of 28 medical professionals, most all of them from Duke University, traveled to Kampala, Uganda, to set up more than $1 million of surplus Duke medical equipment in New Mulago Hospital, Kampala. Once set up, three Duke neurosurgeons, joined by Duke anesthesiologists, Duke nurses and support staff then performed nearly 40 surgical cases in the next five days. |
