The success of the medical tourism industry in a lot of Asian countries means that more and more patients from developed countries find the rates of medical treatments in their own country to be obscenely high. They would rather travel to another country and rely on a foreign doctor's care and expertise. This is good news for the countries that thrive in medical tourism but shouldn't the medical industry in the country of those foreign patients take a second look at their own?

Through the advent of technology people also have a better way of doing medical procedures. This has helped a lot of patients who need medical assistance. It will also be an advantage for many medical experts who can help sick people in any parts of the world.

Effective medical procedures in a particular place will help the popularity of the medical tourism and invite foreign patients to take medical assistance there.

40 billion is a huge amount of money. How can so much be spent on that? i do not understand this at all. Why can't countries provide their own citizens with proper health so that all this environmental waste from all that travel can be avoided. I know we do not want socialist states, but we can have good health care without that, I believe rather strongly.
