| Questions: What is the difference between a family doctor and an internal medici I have a variety of serious medical conditions and I've been seeing a very nice doctor who is a 'family medicine' doctor. What I find is that he does not have answers to many of my problems. He sends me to see many specialists of all kinds for every problem that I have. I am from NY State and there, doctors take care of most of their patients problems; referrals to specialists are rare. My mother says that I need to have an internal medicine doctor because he has more knowledge than a family medicine doctor. Is this accurate? If it is, do you know a good internal medicine doctor that can handle my many health issues who takes AHCCCS? |
