| Questions: Getting into another Medical Technology program after being dismissed Hi, I wonder if anybody has some kind of experience on this. I have my Bachelors in Microbiology and I attempted to complete a one-year MT program at a hospital that is affiliated with my school. I got unfairly dismissed three months before graduation due to laboratory performance and some exams I did not due so well but it was mainly personality conflicts and communication issues with the program coordinators (I was a foreign student too). They offered me to come back and complete my year but I just could not do it. Not at that place, it was just too much!I worked in medical laboratories for two years after returning home and I did a good work. I am sure this career is still what I want to do and I feel I grew up a lot since then. Do you think I have any chance of getting in into another program and what to tell program coordinators about my situation?Do you honestly think I can do much better the second time around or it that career not a good fit for me? How about credits, can I transfer them. I will talk to my advisor about this but was just wondering if anybody has gone through hospital associated training programs or academic probations before? Thanks |
